Three things we don’t know about you?

Before music I was really into art. Drawing, sculpting, painting, stuff like that. I stopped in like 8th grade though when I placed in 3rd in this competition back home in Maryland. Honestly, I should’ve won first, and that was just something I could never get over.

When I was in 5th grade I played Langston Hughes in a school play. He was a famous poet and a key leader in the Harlem Renaissance. That was fun.

Lastly, I’m not a fan of roller coasters or scary movies

Define you in five words

Imaginative. Passionate. Impatient. Diverse. Relentless.

Favorite pre-studio traditions?

Before I go in and record I always smoke one and meditate to whichever beat I’m boutta hop on. Maybe run a COD match. It just gets me in the right vibe. I can record sober but at this point I just choose not to. I rehearse my lyrics over and over until I know I’m ready. And I keep candy and sparkling water on standby.

Top five biggest musical influences?

NO ORDER: Lil Wayne, Drake, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, and J Cole

Define the music industry

How would I define the music industry, I don’t know? But I know this, writers and producers aren’t getting credited, or compensated. A&R’s won’t look at you unless you have face tatts and dyed hair. Consumers don’t have souls no more. And that’s just at the surface level. And this isn’t me hating, I’m just expressing how I feel. I feel like the music industry should be fair game. Everybody should have a shot, and everyone should receive recognition for the work we all put in. But music is in a weird place right now. And it’s all social media. It’s a popularity contest. Everyday another weirdo pops up on my timeline trying sound like the last guy. I really don’t care about the industry anymore. I’m focused on pushing out more content and expanding my listeners.

Artists and media personalities, you like to work with more?

Not talking artist for a minute, but I’d like to work with Pat Is Dope again.  Before I linked up with dude I already knew about him. Me and my bro used to watch his YouTube interviews with everybody else. It was like if you had an interview with PatIsDope, you were hot. So that was goal for me to get that done. We should be linking back up in the future. I wanna work with DJ 837. We gotta get a tape going. Talking artist. Id work with any other talented induvial from the DMV or anywhere. I want to work with anybody that’s down to work with me. The DMV weird for real, we be on twitter saying we never support each other, this and that and still don’t. I’m all about the music. Back in the day, it was all about the music. Now everybody sending you they PayPal link. And they shit don’t even be official. So right now, I’m working with other upcoming SoundCloud artist and producers. Tune In for that. It was cool getting a track done with WillThaRapper. The next big DMV feature(s) I look forward to pursuing would be Rico Nasty. Q da Fool. Lil Dude. One of them. Aye aye, but on some fan shit a few dream collaborations are with Fat Trel. Wale. And Shy Glizzy. I grew up on that. Before I was rapping I’d be watching Fat Trel’s ‘Respect with The Teck’ vid and be like damn this make me wanna rap. I just recently got a track done with Lil Xelly. We’ll have some more work soon.

Any Shout outs?

Shoutout to my mom. I Always send her every track before I drop it.  She my number one fan. That’s my manger too for the record. We have meetings weekly. She’s very supportive man. It makes it easier for me to try and pursue music as a career because of her support and understanding of what I’m going after. I can’t wait to give it all back to her one day.

Name ten artists you want to work with

Drake, Hoodrich Pablo Jaun, Lil Uzi, Migos, Trippie Redd, Lil Nei, ChellyTheMc, Big Flock, Q Da fool, and …. King Los!
