J –Give us a little background about yourself Tadai!

T –    “Tadai graduated from the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) in the spring of 2013, with a degree in Communications, and received her Masters in Sports Management from Georgetown University in the summer of 2017. By day, she works in the sports industry leading the grassroots marketing efforts for Monumental Sports Network, and by night, she puts in countless hours working on her nonprofit organization, Hustle Hard Global – a nonprofit that uses basketball as a tool to improve the well-being of underprivileged youth in Kenya through basketball camps, tournaments and scholarship.”

J-   Why do you feel giving back is important? We love it!

T –  As Bill Walton said, “Basketball is one of those rare opportunities where you can make a difference, not only for yourself, but for other people as well.” …and for as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Being a blessing to others fulfills me.

J –Describe the beauty of Kenya and its people.

T-  Kenya is such a beautiful country…the diversity of the different ethnic groups, the beaches, the colors, the amazing wildlife, the breathtaking views and luxury resorts. I could go on for days, but I’m honored to call it my second home. It’s unfortunate that the media doesn’t portray the country the same way as I see it.

J – What is your five-year plan with the program?

T-  My long-term goal is to have a sports complex built in Kenya, which will create jobs opportunities, allow student-athletes to have access to proper equipment and academic programs, and provide a safe environment for the community.

J – Any other charity works you have planned?

T – We would love to help. On October 20th, from 1-5pm at Trinity Washington University, my team and I will be hosting our 2nd Annual Hustle for Charity Celebrity Basketball Game: http://hhgcelebritygame.eventbrite.com
